Engineering Manager – Pressure Systems Safety

A rare opportunity has opened to join our team as the Engineering Manager for a small team of
Engineer Surveyors. You’ll be an established Incorporated Engineer in a relevant discipline with a
clear path towards achieving Chartered Engineer within 2 years. We are a safety consultancy, so
recognised Health & Safety qualifications and experience are encouraged.
A forward thinking company, you must be computer literate in a variety of applications and
adaptable to our established, bespoke software package, as well as having the vision to identify
technology and process improvements to our operation.
As a proactive Engineering Manager, your day to day duties will be to ensure the engineering
department is capable, ready and competent to meet customer demand, and also ensure that our
deliverables are both safe and compliant. Working both from our office in Liversedge and with our
clients on their sites, this is a hands on role and you will be expected to fulfill a variety of tasks
throughout your day, including overseeing project management of your engineering team’s
individual programmes, supporting the engineers whilst on site, and document production from the
office, therefore AUTOCAD experience would be an advantage. Occasionally this may include
on-site surveys and examinations and production.
To ensure our partners carry out Written Schemes of Examination as intended, we have a robust
system of audit, and you will take responsibility for maintaining and enhancing this function. This
will involve meeting our partner engineers in the field to carry out on-site audits. You will provide
quality reports to partner engineers and their management team to drive improvements in statutory
examination and reporting standards.
Our product is high quality safety documentation delivered to a portfolio of clients based nationally,
therefore it essential that you have a keen eye for detail and the tenacity to ensure every document
that we produce is technically and aesthetically correct prior to delivery, and is fully supported by
our 28 years of Pressure Systems Safety experience.
You will assist the Engineering Director in periodic review of the Written Schemes of Examination
such that they remain a robust, structured argument, supported by evidence, intended to justify that
a pressure system is safe for its specific application in a specific operating environment.
In return for your commitment you will be offered a salary commensurate with experience and
qualifications, along with a generous company bonus scheme.
